Everton manager David Moyes gave an injury timeframe for Charly Alcaraz after last night’s defeat against Manchester United.
It was another loss at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Benjamin Sesko scoring the game’s only goal.

The Slovenian finished off a devastating counter, and sadly Everton couldn’t show the same ruthlessness at the other end.
Ahead of the game, David Moyes had stated that Charly Alcaraz was unavailable through injury – and after the contest he shared how long he’s set to be out for.

Sadly, it looks as though Charly Alcaraz could be missing from Everton’s next few matchday squads.
Moyes said after the game in his post-match press conference last night: “Charly picked up an injury at the last minute in training yesterday.
“I think we’ll probably lose him for a few weeks.

Mark Travers was also not in last night’s squad, and was replaced by Tom King.
On him, Moyes added: “He also (picked up an injury) got damage to his finger. So that was his reason.”
A season of frustration for Alcaraz

So Alcaraz is looking at another spell on the sidelines, having not long been back from injury.
It’s turning into a rather frustrating campaign for Alcaraz, who will have been optimistic about building on the performances he gave last term when he arrived halfway through.
Everton midfielders minutes this season (all competitions)
James Garner – 2724
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall – 1701
Idrissa Gueye – 1495
Tim Iroegbunam – 1120
Charly Alcaraz – 796
Harrison Armstrong – 696
Merlin Rohl – 512
He’s managed just 673 minutes so far in the Premier League and 796 in total, making him one of the lesser-used players in Moyes’ squad.
He will now miss a few more games potentially, which will allow the likes of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Harrison Armstrong to pull further clear of him in the pecking order.
At this rate, the Argentine may well have some work to do when he recovers, in terms of staking a claim to stick around for next season.
