Leeds United took a huge step towards their safety this past weekend. The Whites now look like one of the favourites to beat the drop amidst everything going on near the bottom of the table.
As it stands, things are looking favourable for Daniel Farke’s men with 11 games to go. Spurs are off to a bad start under new manager Igor Tudor and Nottingham Forest lost to Liverpool over the weekend. West Ham are doing their best to climb out of the relegation zone, but Leeds have a six-point cushion.

Leeds United heroes full of praise for Daniel Farke
Leeds have come far this season under Daniel Farke; he managed to steady the ship and turn things around at the end of last year. Now, the club are in a favourable position heading into the final stretch of the season. Leeds heroes Dom Matteo and Michael Bridges have been full of praise for what the German has done at Elland Road this season.
“These are the games you want to play in, at home, packed crowd at Elland Road, atmosphere’s going to be electric, City will bring their mob with them as always, but we know they’ve got threats but I’m excited to come and watch that game next week, you want to test yourself against the best players, the best manager, it’s such a great game because we’re going in with form, you never know, we can turn them over, you never know.” Matteo said, speaking ahead of the City game.
Michael Bridges also touched on how well Farke setup the team against Aston Villa: “All the positives we’ve talked about from the Villa game, Daniel Farke and his staff will be showing his players that again and the big key moments, the press, they’ve done it against a top four team in Aston Villa, we’re going to have the momentum going in to this game against Manchester City, have the belief and have a go boys.”

Whites could seal another season in the top flight
11 games to go, anything can happen in the Premier League. For now, all Leeds United have to do is continue to take things one game at a time. Manchester City up next will be difficult, but Daniel Farke almost pulled off an upset at the Etihad, and he can do it again.
Every point from now till the end of the season will be crucial. One things on Leeds’ side is some of their best players returning to full fitness – Anton Stach came back over the weekend and Dan James will be back in action soon. With a full compliment of players available, the Whites stand a chance making it to next season in the top flight.
