Foo Fighters are set tour the UK this Summer in support of their upcoming 12th album Your Favourite Toy. Frontman Dave Grohl has revealed he has reached out to a Beatles legend about joining them on stage during one of their huge Liverpool dates on June 25 and 27 at Anfield Stadium.
The rocker is good friends with Sir Paul McCartney having previously worked on 2012 collab Cut Me Some Slack, and having performed together at Glastonbury 2022, and he revealed he went to Paul for advise when he found out the Foos were playing the home of Liverpool FC.

Asked about the possibiity of a collab the singer replied: "When I first found out that we were doing that gig I let him know, and he was like 'oh you're gonna have a blast, it'll be amazing.’
"Yeah, Liverpool's awesome. That place is great."
Elsewhere, Dave gave an update on member Pat Smear who broke his leg gardening recently, and said he will be at the Summer shows and he won't need to borrow Dave's legendary throne - Which he used on tour after breaking his leg.
Speaking to Dave Berry on Absolute Radio, he said: "Pat's doing well. I think he's looking forward to coming back on the road with us.
"We talked about it [using the throne] I don't think he wanted to use the throne. He was sending me pictures of like tiki bars where he could sort of like prop up on a stool and drink fruity cocktails.
"But I think by the time we start hitting the road, he'll be up to speed. He'll be good."

Speaking about the LP Dave, 57, admitted they never pre-plan album releases and simply record when the time feels right.
He shared: "We only make records when we feel like it's time to make a record - they're kind of on a consistent cycle though.
"It's once every three years, pretty much for 30 years and so when we're so inspired, we just start writing stuff and we get in the studio, start playing around.
"And then once it sounds like it's an album, then it happens pretty quickly.
"But I mean, we still really like doing what we do. It's just fun to circle the planet, playing rock and roll."
Your Favourite Toy is out April 24 with intimate London and Manchester shows this week before officially kicking off tour in May.
