LEEDS United and Doncaster Rovers lead the way in our final Yorkshire Post Team of the Week for February with three player votes apiece.
Six clubs are represented in our XI. And who is the manager? Here's the line-up. Goalkeeper: Karl Darlow (Leeds United) Solid performance as Leeds secured another precious survival point on their second visit to the second city in successive weeks. Defence: Radinio Balker (Huddersfield Town) In commanding form alongside Murray Wallace. Made one fine last-ditch challenge and almost scored too against Barnsley. Niall Byrne (Doncaster Rovers) A good week on the derby front for the Bradford City loanee. Excellent against Huddersfield, he again stood tall as Rovers made history in Rotherham. Should have been celebrating a goal as well. Tyler Bindon (Sheffield United) Starting to come along nicely under Chris Wilder and stayed strong on derby day alongside Japhet Tanganga. Midfield: Glenn Middleton (Doncaster Rovers) Helped change the game at the NYS after arriving at the interval and produced some brilliant wing craft to set up Hanlan's leveller. Anton Stach (Leeds United) Scored a magnificent goal at Villa Park to crown an excellent performance. Ethan Ampadu (Leeds United) Another authoritative Ampadu like display at Villa. Having a super season. Leader. Harry Clifton (Doncaster Rovers) Absolutely everywhere after coming on at Rotherham and was at the epicentre of Rovers' superb rally at their arch-rivals. Forwards: Duncan Watmore (Rotherham United) At the heart of everything good in the first half for the Millers before fading. Keep him fit and the Millers have a survival chance. Ryan Hardie (Huddersfield Town) Showed just why Town wanted him so badly on deadline day after settling derby day with an instinctive, predatory finish. David McGoldrick (Barnsley) Scored his seventh goal in eight games with just the sort of strike he has been known for throughout his outstanding career. Cut inside on the left and unleashed an unstoppable curler with his right. Different class. Manager/head coach: Grant McCann (Doncaster Rovers)
A keynote derby win keeps them moving away from the League One danger zone.
