Tottenham Hotspur labelled 'absolute charlatans' in explosive on-air rant

Tottenham Hotspur are 'absolute charlatans' and the current squad is their worst ever in the Premier League.

That's according to former Spurs midfielder Jamie O'Hara, who has launched into an angry rant following the north London derby.

In Igor Tudor's first game in charge, his side were thrashed 4-1 by bitter rivals and league leaders Arsenal on Sunday.

And the result leaves Spurs in unprecedented relegation trouble, as they sit just four points above the bottom three.

It means that concerns are continuing to rise over whether they have the fight to stay up and avoid the unthinkable from happening.

After an all-timer Has Anyone Seen from Sports Bar co-host Jason Cundy, O'Hara began a brutal takedown of the Spurs players following the derby: "It was terrible, awful, a terrible day at the office.

"The players were nowhere near it... absolute charlatans.

"Arsenal were too good, I thought we might have rocked up, new manager bounce, atmosphere rocking, couple of dodgy games for Arsenal, went into the game with a bit of hope, boy was I wrong.

"It was a million miles away from it. We have fallen from grace, even if we had grace, but we have fallen so far away from where we should be as a football club.

"Recruitment is terrible, the players have no fight, no passion, no direction, no will to win, no will to fight, not tracking runners, easy to score against, no creativity, just nothing.

"We can sit here and talk about whatever, but that performance was embarrassing. I'm embarrassed to watch Spurs play.

"I can't watch them anymore, it's so bad."

In different leagues

O'Hara then admitted that Arsenal are a level above Spurs, but he'll regret how he said it, setting Cundy up for a laugh...

"We played against a very, very good Arsenal team," he continued. "And I thought they might have been there for the taking.

"Did I think we'd win the game? No. I thought we could get a draw, but boy was I wrong, different leagues."

Cundy then couldn't help but jump in at that point and rub salt in the wounds, replying: "Well, you will be next season!"

After reluctantly chuckling at the joke, O'Hara added: "They are in a different league to us, they're on another level.

"We're in disarray, I know we can sit and have a joke, but Spurs are actually in disarray.. .we're in freefall."

'Worst team I've ever seen'

That freefall could end up seeing Spurs, one of the biggest clubs in Europe, being relegated to the Championship.

If their poor form continues, it will become more of a concerning reality - and O'Hara is already thinking it could happen, labelling his old side 'the worst Spurs team ever in the Premier League'.

"We haven't won this year... I'm genuinely worried about going down," the former midfielder admitted.

"West Ham aren't great, but they've got some fight and decent players. Forest battered Liverpool and didn't win, but I feel like they've got something about them.

"This Tottenham team have got absolutely nothing about them, nothing, there's no fight, passion, nothing. We were just waiting to get beat, not tracking runners...

"The basics when you're down in the dumps and fighting to get results, track runners! Run back, keep the ball out the net!

"It's embarrassing to watch, it's like watching a kids' team playing against men... this is the worst Spurs team I've ever seen in the Premier League, the worst team I've ever seen."
