As a lifelong Man Utd fan, Matheus Cunha is the strong personality that I’ve wanted to see at Old Trafford for some time now
Michael Carrick pointed out the bigger picture around Cunha’s second-half performance after the Man Utd ace was called into action on a defensive front.
For the United fans, however, it was a moment of pure enjoyment for a maverick like Cunha in trying to antagonise the opposition players into a confrontation.
Cunha might not have replicated his scintillating Wolves form at Old Trafford so far – let’s hope that comes soon – but he’s added personality to the first-team squad.
The confidence and swagger of Cunha is offset by the level-headed personalities like Bryan Mbeumo, bringing a ‘balance’ to different characters now in the dressing room.
