German keeper Leo Stritter joins Dundalk on loan from Texas Spurs

Dundalk have signed German goalkeeper Leo Stritter on a short-term loan to ease with a view to expanding their options ahead of the hectic upcoming period.

The 22-year-old arrives from American USL team Texas Spurs having come through the ranks in Germany and at the University of North Carolina.

Stritter will add further competition for the number one position at Oriel Park with Conor Kearns, Peter Cherrie and Enda Minogue already in situ.

A club statement read: “Dundalk FC can confirm that goalkeeper Leo Stritter has joined the club on loan from Texas Spurs, subject to international clearance (ITC).

The 22-year-old German, from Frankfurt am Main, arrives at Oriel Park to add further competition and depth to the goalkeeping department ahead of the upcoming run of fixtures.

Leo has gained valuable experience in the United States with UNC Charlotte, while his early development came in Germany, progressing through respected academy systems including spells with Kickers Offenbach and SV Wehen Wiesbaden.”
