Manchester United’s stars are feeling the positivity after the win over Everton.
We were a little worried that the 12-day break could halt Manchester United’s momentum and leave us cold against Everton. It happened against the Toffees earlier in the season after the international break.
Michael Carrick’s side are more resilient nowadays. This time the Red Devils fought hard to secure a 1-0 win. And if you saw those disgraceful scenes at corner kicks, it really was a bit of a fight at times.
Benjamin Sesko scored the winner – but he was just one of several stars who shone in the win. We picked out six players who really needed singling out, and we would not argue if you wanted to expand that number.
Two of our six were Leny Yoro and Matheus Cunha, and they have now sent messages on social media following the win.

Yoro and Cunha celebrate win
Matheus Cunha turned around what was a frustrating attacking performance by digging in, and eventually got his reward. He started the move that led to United’s goal, and earned praise for fighting for every single ball.
He posted a simple message that read: “Passion always there ❤️🔥 building …”

Leny Yoro was making his first start for the Red Devils under Michael Carrick, filling in for Lisandro Martinez.
Yoro posted: “A clean sheet built on character and fight. Proud of this collective performance ❤️ #GodDid”
The Frenchman was right. The win was a real team effort. Senne Lammens was voted as man of the match, justifiably so after his outstanding effort in goal. But it was the terrific performances from Leny Yoro and Harry Maguire in front of him that helped him.
This was United’s first away clean sheet in the Premier League this season.
It was also the first time the club have won away at Liverpool and Everton in the same season since 2016. Let’s hope we can make it a regularity.
