Premier League Teams With the WORST Discipline this Season

This season, we have seen 989 yellow cards and 22 red cards dished out in the Premier League – but which teams in England’s top division have been the main culprits?

Today, that’s what we’ll be aiming to find out – here are the five Premier League clubs with the worst disciplinary records over the course of the 2025/26 campaign.

Everton

Much of the reasoning behind Everton’s inclusion in this list comes from one game – both Michael Keane and Idrissa Gueye were sent off after they had a physical altercation with each other in a 1-1 draw against Wolves back in January.

The Toffees have picked up four red cards this season, three of which being straight reds – only one other team has received more dismissals this season.

David Moyes’ teams have been known for their roughhousing in the past – it should come as no surprise that such a physical outfit would have a spotty disciplinary record.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth have only picked up one red card this season. They aren’t in this list for that reason – their gargantuan yellow cards total is the main reason.

All in all, the Cherries have collected 63 yellow cards so far in 2025/26. Only two teams can match this tally – one of them is Brighton, while we’ll get to the other team later in the list.

Bournemouth’s inclusion in this list is somewhat surprising. Andoni Iraola likes to play high-tempo football – this is likely the main reason, as it creates a high-octane style of play that can lead to fouls being drawn.

Wolves

Wolves cannot catch a break in the current campaign. Not only are they rooted to the foot of the Premier League table, they’re also struggling from a disciplinary point of view.

With 57 yellow cards and three red cards, Wolves may end up with more dismissals than points on the board by the end of the season.

Their discipline has improved somewhat under Rob Edwards – since he arrived at the club, they have picked up just one red card.

Tottenham Hotspur

Could Tottenham get relegated at the end of the season? It would mark the first time that they have been relegated during the Premier League era – but if their poor discipline is anything to go by, it is entirely possible.

With a total of 66, Tottenham have picked up more yellow cards than any other team in the Premier League so far this season.

That’s not all – the Lilywhites have also been on the receiving end of three red cards, two of which were straight reds. They will need to keep their heads for the rest of the season – lest they await a season in the Championship.

Chelsea

For all the talent in their squad, Chelsea have been a bit of a disaster where their overall team discipline is concerned in the 2025/26 season.

With 60 yellow cards and a whopping six red cards to their name thus far, the Blues were an obvious pick for the worst-behaved team in the current campaign.

Their discipline was particularly below-par under Enzo Maresca – it is showing small signs of improvement under new head coach Liam Rosenior, though.
