Manchester United are interested in signing Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi, according to reports in Italy.
The Old Trafford side are reportedly keeping close tabs on the 25-year-old shot-stopper, who has no shortage of suitors in Italy and England following his impressive performances this season.
United only added Senne Lammens to their ranks last summer but could bring in competition for the Belgian this summer, with Altay Bayindir potentially departing.
Carnesecchi, who joined Atalanta’s academy in 2017, is under contract with the Serie A side until the end of the 2027/28 season.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Manchester United are monitoring Carnesecchi ahead of the transfer window, along with fellow Premier League side Arsenal.
The 25-year-old has also emerged on the radar of Juventus, who could look to bring in Carnesecchi as a replacement for Michele Di Gregorio after the season.
With Carnesecchi’s contract running until June 2028, Atalanta are in a strong negotiating position and have placed an asking price of €40m (£35m) on the 6 ft 5 goalkeeper.
The 25-year-old has been Atalanta’s first choice in goal for the past three seasons, keeping 42 clean sheets in 111 appearances to date and conceding 112 goals.
Man Utd Set for Another Busy Summer

Sitting fourth in the Premier League with 11 games to play, United’s upcoming summer transfer window will be heavily defined by whether they manage to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
With the prestigious European competition secured, the Red Devils would stand a stronger chance of securing their primary targets, including a new Premier League-proven midfielder.
United are anticipating another busy offseason as they look set to continue their rebuild, which saw the club splash out over £200m on new players last summer.
While Casemiro will leave on a free transfer, similar fates could soon await the trio of Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia and Tom Heaton, who are also on expiring deals.
