Few would have predicted that Tottenham Hotspur would be firmly involved in a dogfight to stay in the Premier League at this stage of the season.
After beating Manchester United to win the Europa League and end their 17-year wait for silverware last season, there were hopes that Spurs would kick on and re-establish themselves in the “Big Six”.
However, Tottenham continue to stray further away from the script with every passing matchday.

Tottenham are still looking for their first Premier League win in 2026 after nine attempts (D4, L5), drawing them deeper into the relegation battle.
It was their third straight league loss and a fourth consecutive defeat in the North London derby.
The numbers make for grim reading. Tottenham have won just two of their last 18 Premier League games (D6, L10) and are just four points above 18th placed West Ham United.
At the moment, Tottenham sit 16th in the Premier League table and are one of three teams locked in a relegation battle alongside 17th placed Nottingham Forest and 18th placed West Ham.
Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all but set to return to the Championship and will be joined by one of the aforementioned trio.
