Iliman Ndiaye set a new Premier League record for the season as Everton suffered defeat on Monday.
The Senegal international completed eight dribbles during the 1-0 defeat to Manchester United, more than any other player has managed to record in a single Premier League game this term.
While that seems a positive for Everton at first glance, there are two reasons why this statistic involving Iliman Ndiaye should worry supporters.

Iliman Ndiaye statistic shows he is getting little help from teammates
The Everton No.10 is no stranger to a dribble. Only Jeremy Doku and Mohammed Kudus record more successful dribbles every 90 minutes in the Premier League this season, according to WhoScored.
Player Dribbles Per Game
Jeremy Doku 3.1
Mohammed Kudus 2.7
Iliman Ndiaye 2.1
However, this is the first time Ndiaye embarked on as many as eight dribbles in a game this term, which suggests he is growing a bit frustrated with negative selections by David Moyes and feels he has to do it all by himself.
The Glaswegian named a central midfielder out of position on the opposite flank to Ndiaye in Harrison Armstrong β who had a quiet night.

There was also an unorthodox selection behind the Africa Cup of Nations winner as James Garner played on the right of defence, while two natural fits for the position in Nathan Patterson and Seamus Coleman sat on the bench.
Another square peg in a round hole was evident as Jarrad Branthwaite started at left-back.
So many odd selections unsurprisingly caused a lack of fluidity for Everton in an attacking sense, which is arguably why Ndiaye felt the need to force the issue himself.
Iliman Ndiaye might have left Manchester United impressed too
Another potential issue for Everton after the 25-year-old set a new seasonal record for dribbling is the fact it came against Manchester United.
Several reports claim that Manchester United want to sign Ndiaye this summer β and those in the dugout would have surely been impressed to see him breeze past defenders on eight occasions with relative ease.
It was almost as if the man born in Rouen wanted to show he disagrees with how Moyes sets Everton up, as he aimed to dismantle Manchester United singlehandedly.

Unless Everton can surround Ndiaye β who loves Old Trafford as well β with a more effective attacking system, he may seek pastures new this summer, in our view at least.
