Chelsea could finish this season as the Premier League club with the most red cards in a single season, with only two teams currently standing in their way of that record.
Last Saturday, Wesley Fofana was sent off, which was Chelsea’s sixth red card in the Premier League this term.
It’s getting ridiculous now 😡
How can Liam Rosenior stop this?

However, it was their eighth in all competitions, meaning that Liam Rosenior’s men are very close to setting one unwanted record.

Chelsea two red cards away from setting record
If Chelsea pick up two more red cards in any competition this season, they will become the Premier League team with the most dismissals in a single campaign.
As per Sky Sports, Chelsea’s west London rivals Queens Park Rangers and Sunderland currently hold that record.
QPR picked up nine red cards back in the 2011-12 season when they were still a Premier League outfit, while Sunderland received the same number a few years prior to that.
Robert Sanchez, Trevoh Chalobah, Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, Malo Gusto, Moises Caicedo and Marc Cucurella are the other Chelsea players to have been sent off this term.
Following his dismissal against Burnley, Fofana will now miss Chelsea’s trip to Arsenal on Sunday.
Who starts in place of Wesley Fofana against Arsenal?🤔

Chelsea’s most ill-disciplined players this season
Ill-discipline has clearly been an issue for Chelsea in the current campaign, and there have been some serial offenders.
Moises Caicedo has the most yellow cards in the Premier League among his squad. In total, the midfielder has been booked eight times, while he has also been sent off once.
According to WhoScored, Caicedo also commits the most fouls in Chelsea’s squad, making 1.6 per game.
Yellow cards and fouls are inevitable given his role in the team, but it is something for Rosenior to keep an eye on.
Enzo Fernandez and Cucurella are next on the list for cautions, receiving six and five respectively. Again, like Caicedo, Cucurella has also been sent off this season after being shown a straight red in Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham last month.
