‘Agreement reached’ – Meeting sees Manchester United agree bargain sale

Altay Bayındır started this season as Manchester United’s No.1, ahead of André Onana.

The Turkey international maintained his place in the starting lineup after Senne Lammens’ arrived at Old Trafford on summer deadline day.

Lammens made his Manchester United debut in October and has been first choice since then. Bayındır became the Belgian’s backup, following André Onana’s loan move to Trabzonspor.

Bayındır hasn’t featured for the Premier League side since Lammens overtook him. Inevitably, this has seen transfer interest grow in Turkey.

Beşiktaş came forward to sign the 27-year-old in the winter market but couldn’t get a deal over the line. In fact, Sport Witness covered claims the Red Devils blocked his exit at the last-minute.

Two weeks ago, Sport Witness relayed news from Turkey that the Istanbul club haven’t forgotten about the former Fenerbahçe man. Michael Carrick’s side are reportedly willing to sanction a sale in the summer for a discounted price.

Beşiktaş not giving up on Manchester United player

Fanatik cover the latest on the ongoing pursuit of the stopper, and the Black Eagles aren’t willing to give up on Bayındır.

The newspaper makes it clear it’s their own information on Beşiktaş’ work to sign the Red Devils player. He has less than 18 months left on his contract with an option for another year.

Manchester United are ‘now receptive to a €5m offer’ and it would be a bargain sale for this price.

Fanatik report the Süper Lig side had a meeting with the English club this week and an ‘agreement has been reached’. This will allow Bayındır to arrive at Beşiktaş when the window reopens in the summer.

Beşiktaş have also made advances on agreeing personal terms. The initial talks took place for a deal worth €3m per year. According to the newspaper, this has now been lowered to an annual salary of €2m.

Both figures are likely to be after tax.
