England to make Hill Dickinson Stadium debut as Everton host Lionesses’ final World Cup 2027 qualifier

Everton Football Club’s Hill Dickinson Stadium will host England Women’s final FIFA World Cup 2027 qualifying group fixture against Ukraine on Tuesday 9 June 2026 (8pm kick-off) – the only stadium in the North to feature in the Lionesses’ World Cup qualifying diary.

The Lionesses will also become the first England team to play at Everton’s new waterfront home since it opened last summer.

The fixture will be the second senior international football match staged at the 52,769-capacity venue, following confirmation of Scotland’s men’s FIFA World Cup warm-up fixture against Côte d’Ivoire taking in place in March.

Sarina Wiegman, England head coach, said: “It is very exciting for us to be playing for the first time at Everton’s new stadium. We have always said that taking this team around the country is so important, and we’re really looking forward to playing in front of fans in the North West. The city of Liverpool has a rich football history with many connections to the Lionesses over the years, so it will be a very special evening.

“Every game matters and this match will be the last in our qualification campaign. As always, we’ll give our very best to play at our highest level and put ourselves in the best possible place to finish the group strongly.”

Hill Dickinson Stadium has already underlined its status as a global sporting destination hosting Rugby League’s Ashes clash between Great Britain and Australia, and will stage England v Fiji this summer as part of Fiji’s inaugural Nations Championship campaign. Rugby League’s Magic Weekend will also be held at the stadium this summer.

The stadium is also confirmed as a host venue for UEFA EURO 2028 and is currently shortlisted as part of the UK bid for the 2035 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Everton Season Ticket Members, Premium Members and Forever Blue Members will have the opportunity to purchase tickets during an exclusive priority window ahead of general sale. Eligible members will be able to save 10% and will be contacted directly with full details. Tickets are also available via The FA to My England Football members before general sale.

Premium experiences within Hill Dickinson Stadium’s bars and restaurants will be available for the fixture via Seat Unique, with further details to follow.

The June fixture follows an April double-header in which England face Spain at Wembley Stadium on 14 April, before marking the Lionesses’ 500th fixture in the away match against Iceland in Reykjavik on Saturday 18 April. Spain, Iceland and Ukraine were drawn in League A, Group 3 alongside England as qualification for Brazil in 2027 begins, with all fixtures broadcast live across ITV Sport.
