Andre Onana, Manchester United's on-loan goalkeeper, hopes to re-establish himself as the club's starting shot-stopper upon his return at the end of the season, according to The Guardian.

Onana joined Turkish side Trabzonspor on loan in September last year following a series of poor performances and notable mistakes at United.

He was originally signed from Inter Milan for over £44m in July 2023 but was eventually dropped by new manager Ruben Amorim due to erratic displays.

United subsequently signed Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens for £18m, who has since impressed, with Everton boss David Moyes calling him United's 'best player' recently.

Despite Onana's belief he will get a chance to fight for his place, Lammens' strong form and praise from interim manager Michael Carrick suggest he will face a significant challenge to regain the number one spot.
