Everton to host England Women’s WC qualifier

**Everton are set to host England Women’s final World Cup qualifier.**

The European champions will take on Ukraine at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday, June 9 as they aim to book a place at next summer’s tournament in Brazil.

Sarina Wiegman’s side become the second international fixture hosted at the Blues’ home following next month’s friendly between Scotland and the Ivory Coast.

The Lionesses have been drawn in League A, Group 3 with reigning world champions Spain, who they defeated in the Euro 2025 final, Ukraine and Iceland.

“It is very exciting for us to be playing for the first time at Everton’s new stadium,” said Wiegman.

“We have always said that taking this team around the country is so important, and we’re really looking forward to playing in front of fans in the north-west.

“The city of Liverpool has a rich football history with many connections to the Lionesses over the years, so it will be a very special evening.

“Every game matters and this match will be the last in our qualification campaign. As always, we’ll give our very best to play at our highest level and put ourselves in the best possible place to finish the group strongly.”
