He wants the job: Crystal Palace could hire "phenomenal" 4-2-3-1 boss who's perfect for Jsl -…

Crystal Palace are a club who are set for a huge change during the summer, with a huge overhaul expected ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.

Less than 12 months ago, the Eagles managed to secure their first-ever major trophy after claiming victory in the FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley.

Oliver Glasner was the man who led the side to such an achievement, but the Austrian looks as though he will be unable to add to the success at Selhurst Park.

The 51-year-old announced earlier this year that he would be departing the club at the end of his current contract, which has left the hierarchy with the responsibility of identifying a replacement.

Despite the manager still being in the role in South London, the board have already set their sights on numerous options who could fill the void from July and beyond.

Crystal Palace’s hunt to replace Glasner this summer

In an attempt to replace Glasner at Palace this summer, the hierarchy have already identified various options who could fill the role at Selhurst Park.

Getafe boss Jose Bordelas has been one name mentioned with the manager’s job, after catching the eye with his impressive form in LaLiga throughout 2025/26.

The 61-year-old has led the side to 13th place in Spain’s top-flight, sitting five points above the drop zone, and allowing the side to massively punch above their weight.

Bordelas isn’t the only manager currently being considered by the Eagles board at present, with former Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford boss Thomas Frank also in their sights.

It’s been reported in recent days that he’s admired by staff behind the scenes in South London, despite failing to deliver during his recent stint in charge of the Lilywhites across the capital.

However, it remains to be seen if the Dane would be open to a return to management in the near future, but he still remains a viable option for the board ahead of the summer.

The manager would be perfect for Strand Larsen at Palace

Despite Glasner’s pending departure from Palace, the board still backed him with added reinforcements, as seen with the £44m deal to land Jorgen Strand Larsen.

The Norwegian international’s move undoubtedly raised eyebrows across the country, but he’s already made a huge impact after his move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He’s already netted two goals and laid on an assist in his first four appearances for the Eagles, with the forward already handing the fanbase a glimpse of what could be in store during his time at the club.

However, he would further benefit from the possible arrival of Sean Dyche at Selhurst Park, with the 54-year-old another manager who’s currently in the frame for Glasner’s job.

It’s been reported in recent days that the former Forest boss would be extremely keen on taking the reins at Selhurst Park should he be offered the job on a permanent basis.

Despite the possibility of the experienced Premier League boss taking the reins, it’s unclear if the Eagles' hierarchy would be considering appointing him this summer.

However, any appointment could be perfect for the new big-money talisman, with Dyche previously showcasing he’s able to get the best out of the strikers at his disposal.

The former Forest boss, who’s been dubbed “phenomenal” by writer Thore Haugstad, managed to get the best out of Igor Jesus during his time in charge at the City Ground.

The Brazilian managed to register eight combined goals and assists in his 23 appearances under the 54-year-old, the most of any striker he had at his disposal.

Any appointment of Dyche in South London could allow him to have the same impact with Strand Larsen, with the Norwegian possessing the perfect assets for the manager’s direct playstyle.

The 26-year-old has managed to win 2.9 aerial duels per 90 this campaign, which could allow the manager to have the perfect focal point he requires for his system.

As for the former Forest boss, his record of a 40% win rate at the City Ground showcases his success, with many seeing his dismissal somewhat controversial at the time.

There’s no doubt that any move for Dyche would be an unpopular one amongst the Eagles fanbase, but it would be one that would allow the club to have a proven top-flight boss.

His ability to get the best out of the strikers at his disposal has been evident in recent months, with Strand Larsen potentially being the perfect beneficiary of any appointment.
