Yacine Titraoui’s agents are currently reluctant to sanction a move to Wolves, as relegation looms for Rob Edwards’ side. That means there’ll be less competition for Leeds United and Sunderland.
That’s according to Africa Foot. They cover the Algerian international today and how he’s refusing to accept a move to Wolves for now.
Titraoui continues to attract significant interest in the transfer market, with the summer transfer window likely to shape his future.
Sport Witness have already covered the interest in him. First a report on the 10th of February stated that Leeds United and Sunderland were ready to launch efforts for him.
A second report on the 19th then stated Wolves were ‘seriously considering’ a move.
Wolves make concrete offer
Africa Foot now focus on the latter. According to their information, Wolves have made a concrete offer for the 22-year-old. But that doesn’t mean a move to Molineux is imminent.
Rather, according to their sources, the player and his agency, are reluctant to give their final approval.
The report describes the agency as a British firm specialising in transfers to England. Titraoui only recently joined them.
Both would, seemingly, prefer Titraoui to move to a Premier League club. With Wolves looking destined for the Championship, he’d be inclined to reject their proposal. He prefers a ‘sporting project at the highest level’.
Sunderland and Leeds United should both be able to offer that, although the Whites aren’t safe yet.
What Charleroi are looking for
Charleroi, his current club, have set an €8m minimum asking price for a sale. That includes buying out the remaining years of his contract, which has two years remaining on it.
The Belgian club also have to pay 25% of any future sale to Paradou AC, the player’s former club. That is another reason for their relatively high asking price. They are keen to ensure a ‘financially profitable deal’.
According to Africa Foot’s information, several other Premier League clubs are interested in the Algerian international. They don’t name names, but Sport Witness have covered reports of interest from Leeds United and Sunderland alongside Wolves.
One thing is certain, Titraoui is nearing a major turning point, and the Premier League appears to be in his sights.
