Jordan Pickford is always available for Everton.
The England international made 120 Premier League starts in a row for the Toffees after a £30m move from Sunderland in June 2017.
He currently sits on 347 appearances in total for Everton.
After James Milner just set a new record for most Premier League appearances, Joe Cole has now backed Jordan Pickford to seize that title in future.
What do you think was Jordan Pickford’s best ever save for Everton? 🤩
There's just SO many to pick from!
What Joe Cole said about Jordan Pickford after James Milner sets record
Speaking on The Dressing Room podcast, Cole, Wayne Bridge and Carlton Cole debated who – if anybody – out of the current crop of Premier League players could eventually surpass Milner’s record of 654 appearances.
Bridge was initially doubtful, saying: “I don’t see many people beating it.”
Carlton Cole then retorted: “I think there will be, the way football is, they’re starting now so young.”
Joe Cole then thought about the Everton No.1 – who made his Premier League debut with Sunderland at the age of just 21 – saying: “Someone like Jordan Pickford?”
MORE EVERTON STORIES
The 31-year-old currently boasts 351 Premier League appearances in total, which has taken him a decade to accumulate.
So, he would probably have to play until the age of 41 to surpass the record of 654 appearances and hope he can maintain a starting role with either Everton or another side.
It will be tough, but if Milner – who Everton mocked – can still start in midfield for Brighton at the age of 40, Pickford is capable of still being a starting Premier League goalkeeper at the age of 41.
Where does Jordan Pickford rank in the list of Premier League appearance makers for Everton?
Beating the overall Premier League record will be tough, but Pickford – who is helping to develop George Pickford – is well on track to become the player with the most Premier League appearances for Everton.
Player Appearances
Seamus Coleman 372
Tim Howard 354
Leon Osman 352
Leighton Baines 348
Phil Jagielka 322
Jordan Pickford 320
Seamus Coleman currently holds that crown with 372 Premier League appearances for the Toffees.
However, Pickford is not far behind – sitting sixth on the list with 320.
What would your message to David Moyes be after the loss to United? 😡
He cannot find the answer at the Hill Dickinson…

So, if the man born in Washington keeps his role in the starting XI at Everton for at least two more Premier League seasons, he should surpass Coleman.
