Last week, Everton were said to be looking at Etta Eyong of Levante.
The claim came after the Toffees had actually first been linked with the player last year, but no move ever materialised.

Etta Eyong is seemingly on the club’s radar once more, heading into the summer – but at the moment he is on quite a significant goal drought.
The last time Etta Eyong scored for Levante was against RCD Mallorca in a 1-1 draw. This was all the way back in October.

At the weekend, Etta Eyong’s failure to score against Barcelona meant he has actually now gone 14 games across all competitions without scoring.
For some perspective, Beto has never gone that long without scoring for Everton – his longest streak being 11 games.
Barry took 16 games before bagging his first for Everton.
Everton must think twice about Etta Eyong pursuit
One thing is for sure, Everton need to be signing a striker this summer who has a better scoring rate than Barry and Beto.
It is questionable whether Etta Eyong is that player, based off how he’s done this season.
Do Everton really want to be bringing in a player who’s already going on long stretches without scoring before he’s even landed in England?
It is a really important signing that Everton have to make, so unless Etta Eyong turns his form around in the next couple of months, perhaps the Toffees should consider alternatives over him.
