West Bromwich Albion's top target to replace Eric Ramsay is keen to speak to Crystal Palace about their upcoming vacancy, according to Football Insider.
Sports Boom have reported that the Baggies made Sean Dyche their number one target before they decided to sack Eric Ramsay, which happened late on Tuesday night following the 1-1 draw at home to fellow relegation battlers Charlton Athletic.
The 34-year-old departs the Hawthorns having failed to win any of his eight matches in charge, after replacing another sacked manager in Ryan Mason.
Things are going from bad to worse for West Brom, who finished in the playoffs in the 2023-24 campaign and then just four points outside of it last term.
Now, they are just one point above the relegation zone with Leicester City the team below, with the Foxes looking to leapfrog them following their recent points deduction.

While the Baggies want Dyche to lead them to safety in the remaining dozen matches of the Championship season, the experienced Premier League manager has his eyes on another top-flight role instead.
The 54-year-old was also sacked by Nottingham Forest earlier this month after just 114 days at the helm, with the Reds also just one spot above the bottom three in the Premier League.
According to Football Insider, Dyche is "interested" in talking to Palace chairman Steve Parish about the Eagles job, which will become available when Oliver Glasner leaves at the end of the season when his contract expires.
However, Palace aren't said to have the former Burnley and Everton boss near the top of their list, which may give West Brom some hope.
Dyche Would be a Long-Term Albion Appointment

It's no surprise that West Brom would consider Dyche the best option available to them in their current situation.
Not only would he be free and available now, he has all the attributes and experience needed to help the Baggies rise up the Championship again.
Dyche can rally a squad and get them organised so they pick up results, and that is exactly what Albion need right now.
While the full focus this term would be on lifting a squad low on confidence to survival, Dyche also boasts two Championship promotions on his CV with Burnley, including one title-winning campaign.
And should West Brom return to the 'Promised Land', he also has experience of keeping clubs in the division despite working on a reduced budget.
The issue for the west Midlands side is that they can't afford to wait around, with a huge Championship clash away at 23rd-placed Oxford United on Saturday.
Three points at the Kassam Stadium would be vital, and would give them some confidence and momentum to work with in the remaining weeks of the season.
