The Cameroon international never convinced that he was the answer to the Red Devils' goalkeeping issues following his £50m move from Inter Milan in July 2023, and he was shipped out on loan to Trabzonspor in September following a personal horror show in the humiliating EFL Cup defeat to League Two Grimsby in August.
While the Turkish club are said to have no plans to sign the 29-year-old on a permanent basis at the end of the season, United also have no plans to reintegrate him into the squad next season.
