Report: Wolves make concrete pre-summer offer for "exceptional" player with same agent as…

Wolves have reportedly moved in with a pre-summer offer to sign a Leeds United and Sunderland transfer target, according to a report.

The Old Gold face one of the biggest games of their season on Friday night.

Rob Edwards manager of Wolverhampton Wanderers

Villa arrive at Molineux for a West Midlands derby that could not come at a worse time for Rob Edwards' side.

Unai Emery's side are levels above them — third in the Premier League and chasing Champions League football — while Wolves sit rooted to the bottom and fast running out of time to escape.

For Wolves, nothing less than a performance full of fight and intensity will do against opponents who come into the game on the back of a very strong season and with genuine belief they can finish in the top four.

The Old Gold are keen on a defender.

Villa will be minus key men like Youri Tielemans, John McGinn and Boubacar Kamara for the clash, but make no mistake, Edwards' men are still right up against it.

The gap between the two clubs right now tells its own story.

Edwards has steadied the ship at times this season, but the results have not been reliable enough to move clear of danger.

With 12 games remaining, every point is precious, and while Wolves are more than likely heading to the Championship, they can at least help to spoil their rivals' push for Europe.

Behind-the-scenes, Wolves know that they need to look ahead to the summer and plan for a bounce-back campaign.

One name already firmly in their sights is a 22-year-old Algerian midfielder who has been turning heads all season in Belgium.

Wolves make 'concrete' offer for Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui

Sky Switzerland reporter Sacha Tavolieri shared news last week that Wolves were considering a swoop for Charleroi midfielder Yacine Titraoui, and there's now been another update.

Middlesbrough manager Rob Edwards

According to Africa Foot, Wolves have put in a 'concrete offer' for Titraoui, who has caught the eye of clubs across Europe with his performances in the Jupiler Pro League this season.

The midfielder — who has four goals and two assists in 31 appearances this season — plays primarily as a defensive midfielder but has shown the ability to operate across the midfield.

He joined Charleroi from Paradou AC in 2024 for below £1 million and has grown in stature every month since.

However, Wolves have a serious problem.

Titraoui and his representatives, a British agency specialising in Premier League transfers that also represent Edwards, are in no rush to accept the offer.

The reason is simple — they are not convinced Wolves will still be a Premier League club next season.

The 'exceptional' player has made clear he has no interest in dropping into the Championship. His ambition is to play at the highest level, and a club fighting for survival does not offer him that guarantee.

That opens the door for Leeds United and Sunderland, both of whom are tracking Titraoui closely.

Sunderland tried to sign him last summer and were knocked back, with the Black Cats still in the mix, while Leeds have identified him as a summer target as well.

Charleroi apparently want at least £7 million for a player under contract until 2027, with 25 per cent of any sale owed back to Paradou under the terms of his original move.

For Wolves, the Titraoui situation is a symbol of the broader challenge they face.
