David Moyes now set to copy Mikel Arteta idea at Everton which fired Arsenal to seven straight…

David Moyes is set to take Everton on a mid-season training camp as the Glaswegian aims to oversee a strong end to the season.

The Toffees are currently without a win in seven games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium – but a run of six wins in 13 away from home still has Everton in contention to qualify for the UEFA Conference League.

It was an Everton insider on X (previously known as Twitter) who revealed the news, and if David Moyes can make the trip as impactful as Mikel Arteta did at Arsenal in the 2023/24 season, the Toffees could be in for a special end to the campaign.

What would your message to David Moyes be after the loss to United? 😡

2023/24 Arsenal run suggests training camp could work wonders for Everton

Back in the 2023/24 campaign as Arsenal were slipping out of the title race, Arteta – who made 209 appearances for Everton – opted to take the Gunners to Dubai for a change of scenery.

It had a transformative impact on the season, as Arsenal embarked on a run of seven consecutive wins after returning to England – scoring 31 goals and conceding just three as the likes of Crystal Palace, West Ham, Burnley and Sheffield United were thumped.

Some Everton fans online have already expressed anger at the fact Moyes is arranging this trip, feeling the 62-year-old is rewarding his players despite a worrying run of results at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

However, if Everton return from the warm-weather training camp even half as successful as Arsenal were in the 2023/24 season, it would have been worth going.

David Moyes needs to orchestrate trip differently to last season, however

Everton went on a warm-weather training camp in the United Arab Emirates last season after a 1-1 draw at Brentford towards the end of February, but unlike Arsenal, it actually led to a poor run of results.

Would you make any changes to this team or is that the best XI possible? 🧐

Everton's best XI.

If Everton come back from this year’s training camp and deliver a similarly miserable run of form, supporters may start to voice their frustration inside the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
