Shrimpers boss Kevin Maher has had the boots Eastwood wore to score the winning goal against Manchester United ever since Southend shocked Sir Alex Ferguson’s side at Roots Hall back in 2006.

But Maher met up with his former team-mate to get the boots signed and they will now be auctioned off at his gala dinner for his testimonial later this week.
“I’m not really too sure why I said it at the time but straight after the game I just asked Freddy for his boots and I’ve had them ever since,” said Maher.
“It’s obviously a brilliant memento from a great night and it was brilliant to catch up with him again to get them signed.
“We will be auctioning them off as part of the testimonial night and I’m sure they’re going to be popular.”
Fans are also able to bid for the boots via social media before 5pm on Thursday.
