Sunday's clash with Crystal Palace will present Manchester United with another opportunity to consolidate their grip on a top-four spot.
They remain unbeaten since Michael Carrick assumed control as interim boss and presently occupy fourth place, three points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea. Carrick's squad must still encounter both of their nearest rivals before the campaign concludes. Should United ultimately finish in the top four, it will enhance their prospects of securing their priority transfer targets and significantly boost their finances.
They invested more than £200million last summer on players who have consistently featured under Carrick and his predecessor Ruben Amorim, though further reinforcement will likely be required. There's also the matter of generating extra revenue, beyond the wage savings that will materialise when highest earner Casemiro departs following his contract's expiration. Here's all the latest updates from around Old Trafford.

Five players could be sold
United could potentially generate up to £170million through offloading five first-team squad players, reports the Mirror.
According to the MEN, selling this quintet would provide the financial backing to pursue Nottingham Forest duo Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White, who might be obtainable even if Forest avoid the drop.
Two of these departures wouldn't shock anyone. Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund might bring in approximately £64million combined.

That's if Barcelona and Napoli activate options included in loan agreements for the pair, although Barca are reportedly seeking to negotiate down their £26million Rashford deal.
Skipper Bruno Fernandes could also be permitted to depart following Saudi Arabian attention, with The Mail suggesting clubs beyond the Premier League can secure the midfielder for £56.8million.
Add another joint £48million for Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount - based on January speculation - and the resources for a double Forest swoop could be available.

Andre Onana is eager to return to Old Trafford and compete for his number one position at United, according to The Guardian.
The £47m mega flop is on a season-long loan at Trabzonspor but isn't anticipated to remain in Turkey past the summer, where he has also failed to impress.
Cameroon international Onana was recruited as first choice under Erik ten Hag but was allowed to depart on loan following repeated blunders.

United secured Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp just days before the former Inter star's exit and the new goalkeeper has received commendation from Carrick in recent weeks.
"Senne is quite quiet and unassuming at times, but he's got a real steel," Carrick remarked about Belgian shot-stopper Lammens following Monday's victory at Everton. "The jump he made to come here is huge. To take it like he has done and just get on with things speaks volumes about his personality."
