Nottingham Forest manager Vitor Pereira responds to transfer speculation linking Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson with summer moves to Manchester United.
Manchester United prioritised targets with Premier League experience last summer, as seen with deals involving Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
Ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window, United are being linked with more players in the Premier League – from Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton to Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.

Vitor Pereira downplays Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson transfer rumours
Transfer talk is constant for a club like United.
Anderson has been a primary target for United throughout the season, but the 23-year-old midfielder has yet to make a decision over his future ahead of a busy summer for Forest.
It was also reported recently that United were eyeing a move for Gibbs-White, a year on from Tottenham’s failed attempt to sign the 26-year-old.
Forest could struggle to keep their best players if they suffer relegation back to the Championship.

When asked about United becoming the latest club to be considering a summer move for Gibbs-White, Pereira stressed that the forward, along with Anderson, was focused on Forest.
“I’m not hearing this,” Pereira said, as quoted by the Nottingham Post.
“Every day is work. I feel they are very committed to our target, which is the most important thing.
“He [Gibbs-White] is a top player, a captain; a top player with spirit. Elliot is the same – a top player with spirit.
“That’s why I accepted the job, because I have very good players. We need to prove – every day with our work and on the pitch – we don’t just have talent in the team but we can also create a strong team together.”

Elliot Anderson answers question about potential transfer
Perhaps fittingly, given the line of questioning, Pereira was joined by Anderson in a joint press conference ahead of Forest’s Europa League play-off second leg against Fenerbahce.
“I’m just focusing on my football at the moment and performing and trying to give everything to Nottingham Forest,” Anderson added.
“That’s all that’s on my mind.
“It’s been a big two years [at Forest]. I think I’ve done really well, to be honest, in the time I’ve been here.
“I’ve matured on and off the pitch. It’s thanks to the club for giving me that platform to go out there and play and let me do my stuff.”
There will be many United fans hoping to see Anderson do his ‘stuff’ at Old Trafford next season.
