Gary Neville and Paul Scholes back a Man Utd win against Crystal Palace after their Premier League scoreline prediction is made

Manchester United faced Everton on Monday evening and the Red Devils climbed back into the Premier League top four after their result at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Michael Carrick oversaw his fifth Premier League win from six matches in charge as interim boss, with Benjamin Sesko netting the winner for Man Utd against Everton.

Benjamin Sesko was subbed on in the second half and the 22-year-old Slovenia striker was set up by fellow summer signing Bryan Mbeumo to break the deadlock.

Following the prediction made by Roy Keane and Ian Wright, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes were straight to the point with their expected result for the Palace match.

“We’re going for 3-1 for United,” Neville said on Stick to Football.

The Red Devils have only dropped points in one match under Michael Carrick so far, with United securing a late 1-1 draw against West Ham at the London Stadium.

Benjamin Sesko, who has not started a single Premier League match under Carrick, came to Man Utd’s rescue against West Ham in injury time earlier this month.

Aside from the blip against the Hammers, the Red Devils’ momentum under United legend Carrick has seen them catapult into the Premier League top four this season.

United are three points clear of fifth-place Chelsea and are three points behind third-place Aston Villa ahead of Sunday’s encounter against Crystal Palace.
