Man City XI vs Leeds: Confirmed team news and predicted lineup

Pep Guardiola could freshen up his Man City attack against Leeds this weekend

Man City face Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday evening, hoping to cut the gap on Premier League leaders Arsenal to two points ahead of their game at home to Chelsea.

However, Pep Guardiola looks set to be without Doku for a seventh successive game as the winger has not been spotted in any of training images this week which suggests he remains a doubt.

Doku sustained a calf injury during Man City’s 2-0 win over Galatasaray in the Champions League at the end of January, and was considered “not ready” by Guardiola to return against Newcastle last weekend.

An update on the winger should be provided by the City manager in the pre-match press conference. Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol remain sidelined with long-term injuries.

Max Alleyne is back training with the main group after missing the Newcastle win with a knock sustained in the FA Cup fourth round win over Salford.

The youngster, though, may struggle to earn a place in the matchday squad with Ruben Dias, John Stones, Abdukodir Khusanov and Nathan Ake all fit.

Major doubt: Jeremy Doku

Guardiola could be tempted to name the same team that started the win over Newcastle as Nico O’Reilly’s brace should give him the edge over Tijjani Reijnders in midfield.
