Chelsea source shares how Liam Rosenior reacted in the dressing room after draw vs Burnley

Chelsea’s road to Champions League qualification has taken a blow after the last two Premier League games against Leeds and Burnley, and a source at the club has revealed Liam Rosenior couldn’t contain his anger at the incident.

The Blues have thrown away four points in their last two games against recently-promoted sides, contributing to their 19 points dropped from winning positions so far this season.

It was their discipline that caught them out again at the weekend against Burnley. Wesley Fofana was sent off late on, handing control back to their opponents to eventually equalise.

How are we calling Arsenal bottlers? 🤦‍♂️

What does Liam Rosenior need to do to change this?

Stamford Bridge showed its discontent at full-time with the performance, and it has now been reported that the manager echoed those thoughts.

Liam Rosenior was furious in the dressing room after Chelsea vs Burnley

According to the Mail Online, Rosenior let his anger be known to his Chelsea players, following on from how he reacted to the draw with Leeds.

This contrasts drastically from how the boss portrayed himself in the media after the game, putting across a calm persona when discussing his side.

Rosenior labelled the last two games as setting fire to four points, and with massive games against Arsenal and Aston Villa to come, the pressure is on the players to step up and deliver.

The manager’s antics have been highly-critiqued since he arrived in West London, although he is clearly going against the narrative that he has simply been hired as a passive yes-man.

Rosenior under pressure to deliver this season

Despite only taking over the side in January, there will be pressure on the new boss to deliver results instantly.

It was claimed as soon as he joined the club that qualifying for the Champions League was seen as a priority, and this is becoming far more difficult to achieve.

Opta has predicted Chelsea will miss out on a top five finish this season, which would force them into winning the European Cup this season.

The Blues completed this when changing managers in 2012 and 2021, and Rosenior is looking to replicate the magic of Roberto Di Matteo and Thomas Tuchel.
