Aston Villa suffered a pre-tax loss of almost €100m in 2025, according to a new UEFA financial report.

It is the fifth largest loss in Europe behind only Chelsea, Lyon, Tottenham and Marseille.

In UEFA’s latest European Club Finance and Investment Landscape report, Villa incurred losses of €97m (£85m).

UEFA confirm in their report the figures do not take into consideration “a €135m (£118m) non-recurring profit on sale of assets” at Villa, who notably sold their women’s team to V Sports, the club’s ownership group, last year.

The report shows Villa posted record revenue of €441m, with a record figure of €84m of revenue from playing in UEFA competitions, with Villa memorably reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they lost to eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
