Red Bull chief Oliver Mintzlaff has dismissed reports that Jurgen Klopp is poised to leave Red Bull and return to club management as "complete nonsense." Austrian media this week hinted that Klopp might be on the verge of stepping down from his role as Head of Global Soccer for the organisation.

With Oliver Glasner set to depart Crystal Palace at season's end, Tottenham Hotspur only employing Igor Tudor on a temporary basis, and uncertainty surrounding Arne Slot's long-term future at Liverpool, Klopp would have plenty of options should he decide to return to Premier League management.

However, Mintzlaff, the managing director of Red Bull GmbH, has swiftly quashed any speculation about Klopp leaving his current position. Speaking to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Mintzlaff said: "That is complete nonsense and entirely made up.

"On the contrary, we are extremely satisfied with the work Jurgen Klopp is doing. He invests a great deal of time and effort, is in constant communication with our coaches and sporting directors, and continues to develop our Red Bull football philosophy in a sustainable way.

"We are convinced that he is the right man for this job. That is where we are putting all our focus and energy."

The rumours persist despite Klopp acknowledging he would never take charge of another English side given his devotion to Liverpool. Speaking with Stephen Bartlett following Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United in October, Klopp said: "I said I will never coach a team in England again, that means if it's Liverpool, theoretically it's possible.

"I don't know exactly, I love what I do right now. I don't miss coaching, I do coach now but just different. I don't miss standing in the rain, two-and-a-half [to] three hours; I don't miss going to press conferences three times a week, and having 12 interviews a week. I don't miss that; I don't."

With RB, Klopp's duties involve supervising football operations throughout the entire franchise's network. That extends from Leipzig and Salzburg in Europe to New York in the United States and Bragantino in Brazil.

However, he will make his way back to Anfield next month when Liverpool legends face Borussia Dortmund at Anfield; the friendly charity fixture is more of a showcase than possessing any competitive significance.

It will mark the first occasion Klopp has been in the dugout since his final game in charge of Liverpool in 2024.

The German tactician has also been candid about his satisfaction away from the manager's seat at L4 and the demands of overseeing a competitive squad.
