Man Utd legends Gary Neville and Paul Scholes expect their former club to secure their sixth win in seven games under interim manager Michael Carrick this weekend.

“We’re going for 3-1 for United.”

Palace have won one game away from home in the Premier League since early December, so United will be clear favourites for all three points.

Carrick is sweating over the fitness of Lisandro Martinez, who picked up a minor calf strain before the 1-0 win over Everton on Monday. Buy a signed framed Martinez shirt from Fanatics UK here.

Mason Mount (knock) also remains a doubt, while Matthijs de Ligt (back) and Patrick Dorgu (hamstring) are out of contention.

Eagles boss Oliver Glasner says Maxence Lacroix will face a late fitness test, but Jean Philippe Mateta (knee), Eddie Nketiah (thigh), Cheick Doucoure (knee) and Jefferson Lerma (hamstring) are all unavailable for the weekend.

Man Utd’s Champions League qualification hopes

The Red Devils are very much in pole position to finish in the top 5 at the moment, sitting three points ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool, while they are only three behind third-place Aston Villa.

Opta has also increased their chances of sealing a Champions League spot, with United now having a 44.82% probability, compared to Liverpool’s 46.60% and Chelsea’s 20.71%.

Of course, there is still just under a third of the season remaining, so a lot can happen between now and final day in May, but recent results have given Carrick’s side a great deal of momentum. The likes of Neville and Scholes are confident that their great form will continue on Sunday.
