Former Roma defender Kostas Manolas took a dig at Juventus after their Champions League exit following a defeat to Galatasaray.

Manolas did not hold back from rubbing salt on the Bianconeri’s wounds after failing to complete a comeback on aggregate against Galatasaray in the Champions League Round of 16 playoffs, as he [posted](https://www.gazzetta.it/Calcio/Champions-League/26-02-2026/manolas-punge-la-juve-certe-imprese-sono-solo-per-i-gladiatori.shtml?refresh_ce): _“Certain feats are only for gladiators”_ on his **Instagram** (via **La Gazzetta dello Sport**).

The 34-year-old Greek international recalled the Giallorossi’s dramatic comeback victory against Barcelona in 2018, where he scored the winning goal to make the second-leg scoreline 3-0 after a 4-1 first-leg defeat.

Juventus faced a similar scenario to that of Roma in 2018 this season as they suffered a 5-2 away loss to the Turkish side. While they attempted a comeback and ultimately won the second leg by a 3-2 margin, the Old Lady lost the tie on aggregate, thus failing to qualify for the Round of 16.
