Jeremie Frimpong took part in full-contact training for the first time in a month on Thursday, but Florian Wirtz remains a concern for Liverpool vs. West Ham.
Frimpong has been sidelined since suffering a groin injury at the start of Liverpool’s 6-0 win over Qarabag on January 28, but has now made a full recovery.
It means the right-back should rejoin the squad for Saturday’s Premier League clash with West Ham, with Arne Slot expected to clarify whether he is fit enough to start in his pre-match press conference at 9am on Friday.
Liverpool could however still be without Wirtz after the playmaker exacerbated a back injury during the warmup before last weekend’s 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest.

Wirtz was not part of the 19-strong group of outfielders put through their paces on the outdoor pitch at the AXA Training Centre.
But with Liverpool still due another session on Friday there remains a chance Wirtz is cleared for involvement against West Ham.
If he is not available, at least to start, Slot could considered deploying Frimpong at right-back and restoring Dominik Szoboszlai to the advanced role in midfield.
Curtis Jones is another option having stepped in for the injured Wirtz at the last minute at Forest – though the 25-year-old initially struggled and later swapped roles with Szoboszlai.
Liverpool Training Squad vs. West Ham

Defenders: Van Dijk, Konate, Gomez, Nallo, Frimpong, Kerkez, Robertson, Ramsay
Midfielders: Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Jones, Nyoni

There were no new absences in the Liverpool squad working on Thursday, though Alexander Isak and Wataru Endo remain out along with Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni and Vitezslav Jaros who will miss the rest of the season.
Jayden Danns and James McConnell have stepped up their recovery with non-contact training and the latter will be involved in the first-team setup when fit.
The situation around Stefan Bajcetic is less clear but as the weeks go by the chances of playing a part this season grow increasingly slim.
Youngsters Amara Nallo and Kieran Morrison were called up from the academy and could be considered for the matchday squad for Saturday’s 3pm kickoff.
