Hammers would need to ‘focus’ as they face Liverpool away in the Premier League

West Ham travel to Anfield with a bad track record of conceding late goals in the Premier League this season, something that has concerned Santo as they fight against relegation.

Liverpool this season has one of the best records of scoring in the last ten minutes this season, but Santo is not paying to much attention to that statistic.

Speaking at his weekly pre-match press conference Santo said: “It is always tough. Not matter what position Liverpool are in or how they are playing, Anfield is always a tough place to go to. They are a great team who play great football.”

“Yes, we beat them last season. But what has happened in the past is in the past. New things happen every week. All I ask is total focus from minute one until the end of the game.”

“I know we have a record of conceding late goals and Liverpool have a good record o scoring late goals. But all we need to do is focus from the first minute to the end and we can improve on that record.”

West Ham have won just one of their last 52 away league games against Liverpool (D12 L39), beating them 3-0 in August 2015 under Slaven Bilic.

West Ham have lost 26 of their 29 Premier League away games against the previous season’s champions (W1 D2), with their only victory coming at Manchester United in December 2001.
