Man United have reportedly reached their first agreement for a summer transfer deal.

If Carrick does stay at United, the club will need to back him in the transfer market ahead of a Champions League campaign in the summer. It is understood they have already made their first move.

Man United reach agreement to sell Bayindir

According to reports in Turkey, Man United have reached an agreement for their first deal of the summer transfer window, as they have reportedly agreed to sell goalkeeper Altay Bayindir to Besiktas ahead of the window opening in July.

Turkish media outlet Fanatik reports that Besiktas and Man United have reached an agreement including a £4.3m transfer fee for the Turkish goalkeeper. He is set to move as soon as the window opens in the summer.

Bayindir started this season as the first-choice keeper for United after Andre Onana left on loan to join Trabzonspor in the summer. However, the Red Devils signed Senne Lammens, and so, Bayindir quickly became the second-choice option at Old Trafford and has made limited appearances since.

So far this season, the 27-year-old has made six appearances for United, all coming in the Premier League before Lammens was integrated into the team. He conceded 11 goals in those six games and failed to keep a clean sheet, in what proved to be some underwhelming performances. Bayindir has been at Old Trafford since 2023, when the Red Devils signed him from Fenerbahce for £4.3m.

Onana is set to return in the summer

As Bayindir looks to be leaving the club, Andre Onana is set to return, as his loan deal with Trabzonspor will expire at the end of the season, and seeing as he is contracted at Old Trafford until 2028, he will come back into the side.

Because of Lammens’ impressive form, Onana would likely only be the backup option if he were to stay at Man United, but, seeing as he is currently on a wage of around £100,000 per week, the Red Devils likely will try to sell him, as that is a hefty price for a backup goalkeeper.
