A Premier League star suffered a gruesome injury in the Europa League on Thursday when he dislocated his finger, but played on after popping it back in.
Ryan Yates was named in the starting side as Nottingham Forest looked to hold onto their three-goal lead they established in Turkey last week. However, with just a couple of minutes on the clock, Yates dislocated his finger.
Gruesome images showed Yates pointing to his left little finger, which was off at a 90 degree angle. The midfielder called for medical help as TNT Sports elected not to show a replay of the incident.

Incredibly, he was substituted as a result of the injury and the 28-year-old went to the side of the pitch to have the finger treated and strapped into place, before making a return to the field.
"Ryan Yates is rock 'ard isn't he," one fan joked on social media sharing a snap of the injury.
"Yates dislocating his finger to a 90 degree angle and just having a smile about it then cracking on with the game," a second said. While a third posted: "Quick fix, a smile… and straight back into the battle. No drama, no theatrics - just grit."

And another added: "Many players exaggerate injury for sympathy, time-wasting, disrupting the flow. Ryan Yates the opposite. Old school.
"Dislocated finger, no fuss, physio on, finger back in, back on with the game. Given how pumped up Fenerbahce & their fans are, Forest need that resilience!"
However, despite Yates' leadership, Forest conceded first when Kerem Aktürkoğlu found the net in the 22nd minute, he find his brace in the second half.
