The 2025/26 Champions League has been a particularly fruitful tournament for clubs in the Premier League. Of the six Premier League clubs that competed in the league phase of the competition, five of them secured a spot in the top eight.
The remaining team, Newcastle United, crushed Qarabag by an aggregate score of 9-3 in the playoffs to make it through to the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
As such, we’ll be taking a look at which Premier League players have scored the most goals in the Champions League this season. We’ll be looking at players from teams such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City in this piece – but who will finish at the top of the pile?
Dominik Szoboszlai
This one came as a bit of a surprise to us. Despite playing exclusively in central midfield and at right-back this season, Dominik Szoboszlai has an impressive total of four Champions League goals in 2025/26.
Out of all of his eight Champions League games this season, he has only failed to register a goal contribution in one of them (coincidentally, it was in the only game in which he was fielded at right-back).
Not only does he have four goals to his name, he can also boast a quartet of Champions League assists this season.
Harvey Barnes
Likewise, Harvey Barnes’ performance in the Champions League greatly eclipse his displays in the Premier League this season.
As things stand, Barnes has scored five goals and has racked up three assists over the course of ten Champions League games in 2025/26.
Having partaken in the playoffs against Qarabag, the former Leicester City star has played a couple of extra games over most of the other stars in this list, but his goals tally certainly isn’t to be sniffed at.
Gabriel Martinelli
Gabriel Martinelli has scored just one Premier League goal this season – similar to the previous two entries in this list, he has been far more impressive in Europe.
The Brazilian international has found the back of the net on six occasions in seven games this season, giving him one of the best goals-to-games ratios in the entire competition.
He has outscored the likes of Julian Alvarez, Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Rashford in the Champions League this season – how can he translate his excellent continental form back into the Premier League?
Erling Haaland
This shouldn’t come as a surprise – Erling Haaland is arguably the best striker in the world, so it is only natural that he’d be one of the top scorers in the Champions League.
With seven goals in eight Champions League games, only three players have scored more goals than he has in the entire competition in 2025/26.
He is put forth a brilliant account of himself in the Premier League, too – the Norweigian international has scored 22 goals in England’s top division this season.
Anthony Gordon
Anthony Gordon seemingly cannot buy a goal in the Premier League – this is in complete contrast to his Champions League form, however.
The former Everton man has scored ten goals in Europe’s top competition this season – four of the came in a single game, during the first leg of their playoff against Qarabag.
Gordon’s position in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad has been scrutinised as of late, but his critics should pay more attention to his fantastic displays in the Champions League.
