Georginio knows what he has to do after slipping down the Albion order

But Fabian Hurzeler is pleased with how he has reacted to being left out of the Albion side.

Rutter was an unused substitute in the win at Brentford after failing to find his best form.

He is not expected to make the line-up which kicks off against Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler said: “He's reacting really good. He’s training really hard.

“He knows he had his chances in the season so far.

“Now other players might be ahead of him and he has to work for getting his chance back.

“We know he has big, big potential and we know what he's capable of doing.

“But it's about him and it's about us giving him the support he needs to get back where he was.

“He can only come back with good training work, with reaching the standards he had in the last season, then trying to do it consistently in every training session.

“And then we are 100% convinced that he will help us in the final part of the season.”

Charalampos Kostoulas also ultimately remained on the sidelines at Brentford as Jack Hinshelwood operated off Danny Welbeck.

But Hurzeler hinted the plan might change in the home game with Forest.

While there are similarities with how Brentford play, the Seagulls boss said: “It has to be a different match plan against Nottingham.

“We have to discover different spaces, different gaps in their formation.

“We have to be concerned about different things.

“We have to adjust other things we adjusted regarding Brentford, so you always need to adapt without losing the foundation.”
