Aston Villa set record after record on the financial front in 2025.
The Villans feature prominently in UEFA’s new European Club Finance and Investment Landscape report.
The club was inevitably boosted by playing in the Champions League last season, reaching the quarter-finals of Europe’s biggest club competition before being knocked out by eventual winners Paris Saint-Germain.
UEFA’s report shows Villa posted record gate revenue, record TV revenue, record commercial revenue and record kit and merchandising revenue.
In 2025, gate revenue was €73m, up from €46m, TV revenue was €203m, up from €199m, commercial revenue was €81m, up from €56m, and kit and merchandising revenue was €26m, up from €6m.
Wages were also at a record level of €309m, up from €293m.
Operational expenditure rose steeply in 2025 to €146m, up from €73m, while UEFA states the club’s cumulative transfer fees of its squad, at the end of 2025, was €643m (£563m), which speaks volumes about the backing of owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.
