Steve Bruce explains the importance of Senne Lammens’ goalkeeping performance in Man Utd’s encounter with Everton

Senne Lammens has been unfazed by the immediate demands of adapting from the Belgian Pro League to the Premier League in his debut season at Old Trafford.

“No matter what Everton threw at him, with a high ball, and it was like a scrum in there at the finish, it was more like a game of rugby the way they were competing with it,” he explained.

“He [Lammens] stood up and he got a fist to it, caught it, and he was immaculate, the two or three shots down by his right-hand side, didn’t spill them.”

Bruce added: “He looks a real, real good goalkeeper. I’m delighted for him.”

Lammens made four appearances for Royal Antwerp in the current campaign before he left the Belgian Pro League outfit and signed for Man Utd in the 2025-26 season.
