The Real Madrid star has been considered one of the best ‘keepers in the world since he left Premier League side Chelsea and moved to the Spanish capital in 2018.
Lammens has also praised Manuel Neuer, who was linked with a move to Old Trafford in the past, for the impact that the Bayern Munich skipper has had on him.

Man Utd and Belgium star Senne Lammens on the importance of the ‘world-class’ Thibaut Courtois
Senne Lammens made his senior debut for Belgium in 2025 and the 23-year-old Belgian shot-stopper has made one appearance for the national team so far.
The Belgium international has impressed in his debut season at Old Trafford, with Lammens making 22 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils.

Lammens, who made his Belgium debut in last November’s 7-0 victory over Liechtenstein, insisted that Thibaut Courtois was a key influence on him growing up.
“Thibaut Courtois was always a big thing when I was growing up because his saving is just world class,” he said, as per The Guardian.

Lammens has kept five Premier League clean sheets for the Red Devils this season and has impressed with his performances between the sticks for Man Utd.
The Man Utd No 1 has avoided the error-prone ways of Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir and instilled confidence in the Red Devils backline since his move.
Lammens described himself as an “all-around goalkeeper” and the former Royal Antwerp ace thinks his approach mirrors what Manuel Neuer brought to the table.

“When I was growing up my biggest idol was probably Neuer,” he explained.
“I take pride in being an all-around goalkeeper and that’s why I was such a big fan because he didn’t really have a weak point, so that’s something I want to take from him.
“But I try to learn something from everyone because everyone has strong points.”
Lammens arrived at Old Trafford on deadline day last September under the reign of Ruben Amorim and United paid an initial fee of £18.1m to Royal Antwerp to sign him.
