Barcelona could have a distinctly English flavour next season, with both Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane linked with moves to the Camp Nou. Rashford, currently on loan at the Spanish giants from Manchester United, is pushing for a permanent transfer, while Kane's club future remains uncertain, with his Bayern Munich contract set to expire in just over a year.
The prospect of both England internationals ending up in Catalonia isn't out of the question, leaving Barcelona boss Hansi Flick with some big decisions to make in terms of squad planning this summer.
Rashford has made it clear that he wants to stay at Barcelona beyond the end of the season - and he looks increasingly likely to get his wish. The La Liga giants have reportedly pledged to pay the £26million buyout clause in Rashford's contract, a figure United are unwilling to reduce.
Over recent months, the two clubs have explored terms to make a permanent deal possible, following Rashford's impressive start in Spain. The 28-year-old has notched 10 goals and 13 assists in 34 games this season, leaving Barcelona delighted with his performances.
In a recent interview with SPORT, Rashford said: "Of course, what I want is to stay at Barca. It's an end goal, but it's not the reason why I'm training hard and giving it my best.
"I'm in the perfect place and environment to continue my journey as a football player, so I just try to do my best every day and help the team win. We'll see what happens next summer.
"I'm adapting very well to the club and the city. From the moment I arrived I felt that everyone welcomed me very well. For me, the reason I'm here is to help the team win trophies."

With Ruben Amorim - previously a source of Rashford's dissatisfaction at United - now gone, there had been speculation that he might return to Old Trafford after his loan. However, a permanent move to Barcelona now looks most likely.
As for Kane, his long-term future is increasingly unclear. By the end of the season, he will have just 12 months remaining on his Bayern contract - the same situation that forced Tottenham to sell the striker in 2023, to avoid losing him for free a year later.
Barcelona have emerged as a potential destination for the England captain, particularly with star striker Robert Lewandowski approaching his 38th birthday and the end of his Camp Nou contract, which expires at the end of the season. The Poland international is still scoring goals, but Barcelona are now facing a 'stick or twist' moment regarding his future.

If Barcelona allow Lewandowski's contract to expire, they will need a proven, ready-made replacement - and Kane fits the profile perfectly, having consistently scored goals in both England and Germany.
However, if a deal for Kane cannot be secured this summer, the club might consider offering Lewandowski a last-minute contract extension. After all, Kane recently downplayed speculation about a move, insisting he is "very happy" in Bavaria.
"I haven't heard anything about it," Kane said when asked about links to Barca. "My father and brother handle everything, but they haven't said anything to me. As I've already said, I'm very happy here at Bayern. I'm focused on this season and my time at Bayern. I take it as a compliment."

Kane has been in sensational form this season, netting an incredible 43 goals in 36 games. Talks over a contract extension are reportedly ongoing, but if Bayern falter, Barcelona could move in to snap the 32-year-old up.
A move to the Camp Nou would make Kane just the third Englishman to play for the Blaugrana in the last century. Rashford became the second earlier this season, following Gary Lineker, who scored 52 goals in 138 appearances between 1986 and 1989.
Beyond Kane, Barcelona are also linked with Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez. The former Manchester City star, who scored 29 goals in all competitions last season, is reportedly open to a move. However, prying him away from Atleti will be costly, with reports suggesting it could take a bid exceeding £80m to convince the Madrid club to sell.
