Manchester City team news for Saturday’s clash against Leeds United at Elland Road.

Pep Guardiola has revealed his Manchester City team news for Saturday evening’s trip to Leeds United with a big boost via an attacker’s return.

City's rapid Belgian international winger Jeremy Doku has been out since suffering a calf injury in the Champions League clash against Galatasaray at the end of January.

Guardiola said last week that Doku was "not ready" ahead of the visit of Newcastle and the Belgian was not pictured in a gallery of training pictures published by the club on Wednesday evening from their latest session.

Guardiola, though, revealed at Friday’s pre-match press conference that Doku had returned to training on Thursday but admitted he was unsure exactly when he would be able to return.

Guardiola said: “Yesterday, he made the first training session... I don’t know [when he will be back], we’ll talk with the doctors and officials afterwards.”

In addition to longer term absentees Josko Gvardiol and Mateo Kovacic, Guardiola was also without young centre-back Max Alleyne for last weekend’s hosting of Newcastle United.

The 20-year-old suffered a knock in the FA Cup clash at home to Salford City earlier this month and was forced of in the 22nd minute.

Unlike Doku, though, the defender was pictured in the gallery published by City in doing some gym work.

Winger Savinho had been out since suffering a quad injury in the goalless draw at Sunderland on New Year's Day but the 21-year-old made Saturday's bench against Newcastle as an unused substitute. Gvardiol and Kovacic remain out longer term.
