Newcastle United star ‘on track’ for injury return after 13-game absence but five players out v …

Newcastle United injury news: Bruno Guimaraes, Tino Livramento, Jacob Ramsey, Lewis Miley & co’s estimated return dates.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Jacob Ramsey could return to his matchday squad against Everton and that Tino Livramento is ‘on track’ to return to action next month.

Ramsey was a surprise omission from Howe’s matchday squad on Wednesday night, whilst Livramento has missed their last 13 games in all competitions. Both are key players for Howe and positive updates on their respective recoveries from injury are good news ahead of a crunch run of matches.

Ahead of a huge set of games between now and March’s international break, here, we take a look at Newcastle United’s current injury list and when those sidelined players could be back in action:

Newcastle United injury news & estimated return dates

Fabian Schar - ankle injury

Schar suffered a fairly serious ankle injury against Leeds United last month, although initial prognosis on the injury was not as severe as first thought. There is hope he can return to action before the end of the season, although he still has a long road to recovery.

Estimated return date - Bournemouth (h) weekend of April 18

Emil Krafth - knee injury

Krafth hasn’t featured for Newcastle United since their defeat against West Ham at the London Stadium at the beginning of November. Howe confirmed last week that the defender has undergone surgery on a knee injury and that it is likely his season is over.

Estimated return date - 26/27 pre-season

Lewis Miley - leg injury

Miley hasn’t featured since Newcastle United’s draw with PSG last month. The teenager has suffered an injury to his leg and whilst there was hope that it was not a significant problem, it has been enough to keep him out of their last six matches. Howe has confirmed that the club are taking extra caution over his recovery.

Estimated return date - Manchester City (h) 07/03/26

Tino Livramento - hamstring injury

Livramento is still facing a number of weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Howe has revealed that Livramento is making good progress but has not yet returned to training with the first-team. “I think Tino will be early March,” Howe confirmed. “We think he's still on track for that. He's done really well.”

Estimated return date - Chelsea (a) 14/03/26

Bruno Guimaraes - muscle injury

Guimaraes suffered an injury late on against Spurs earlier this month and has not featured for the Magpies since. An estimated eight to ten weeks on the sidelines will keep Guimaraes out of action until April.

Guimaraes could miss 12 matches in all by the time he returns to full fitness, including both legs of their Champions League Round of 16 and the Tyne-Wear derby against Sunderland. An exact date for his return after the international break could be determined by Newcastle United’s progress in the FA Cup.

Estimated return date - Crystal Palace (a) weekend of April 11 OR FA Cup Sixth Round weekend on April 4/5

Jacob Ramsey - hamstring injury

Ramsey missed Wednesday night’s win against Qarabag with a ‘minor hamstring injury’. Howe confirmed that the midfielder could be in contention to face Everton on Saturday.

Estimated return date - Everton (h) 28/02/26
