Referee and VAR appointed as Albion face Forest

The Huddersfield-based official will referee Albion's game at home to Nottingham Forest.

He generally takes charge of Prem fixtures but dipped into the Championship in his most recent appointment, which was Hull City v QPR.

Across all competitions, he has refereed 18 fixtures this season, showing 57 yellow cards and four reds.

His most recent dismissal was that of Everton defender Jake O’Brien at home to Bournemouth.

He was last at the Amex for the game which sparked Albion’s poor mid-season run as they lost 4-3 to Aston Villa.

He also reffed the 3-2 win over Liverpool at the end of last season.

The Premier League have also announced that Chris Kavanagh will referee the midweek game at home to Arsenal.

Kavanagh takes charge of Manchester United v Crystal Palace over the weekend.

The full officiating team for Albion v Nottingham Forest is as follows.

Referee: Andy Madley. Assistants: Simon Bennett, Craig Taylor. Fourth official: Tom Nield. VAR: Matt Donohue. Assistant VAR: Adam Nunn.
