Korean Hammers Official Supporters’ Club hosted special three-day exhibition

The exhibition, which ran from 6-8 February, showcased a remarkable personal collection of memorabilia and underlined the growing passion for the Claret and Blue across the country.

The exhibition was years in the making, and a previous visit to east London proved pivotal.

Kim Dong Hyeon said :“Our official West Ham supporters’ club in Korea was established in 2024 and has been actively operating ever since.”

“Each season, we strive to arrange frequent in-person gatherings to view matches collectively. Furthermore, we organise annual events dedicated to fostering unity and networking among our members.”

Kim Dong Hyeon explained that the idea for the exhibition stemmed from a lifelong passion: “I fell in love with West Ham, but since the supporters’ group in Korea wasn’t very big, there were absolutely no offline gatherings or related events.

“That’s why I wanted to raise awareness of the Club in Korea and create more opportunities for Korean Hammers to enjoy and actively participate in.”

Kim Dong Hyeon continued: “Many Hammers had always shown interest in my jersey collection, and I had always harboured a strong desire to host an exhibition to share it.

“When I was previously invited by the Club, I had the incredible experience of laying out my jerseys at the home stadium for a photoshoot. That unforgettable moment was the decisive trigger that pushed me to put my exhibition plan into action.”

Among the highlights at the exhibition was the complete collection of home kits from 1997 to the current season, arranged chronologically so visitors could follow the Club’s journey. Fans were also captivated by Boleyn Ground grass memorabilia and a UEFA Europa Conference League winner’s medal, with visitor numbers exceeding all expectations.
