Pep Guardiola makes Leeds United admission
The last fixture between these sides took place in the Etihad, but was almost an upset against Manchester City. They had a 2-0 lead at half time, but Daniel Farke’s tweaks saw Leeds United mount a comeback in the second half. The Whites were able to pull level, but were undone by a late Phil Foden goal which handed the home side all three points.
This time around the game is at Elland Road, where Leeds have had a formidable record since November. Ahead of the game, Pep Guardiola has acknowledged how big of a factor the home crowd will be this weekend:
“Elland Road is Elland Road, and they’ve had good results, going to Stamford Bridge or Villa Park and getting good results, they have the home crowd, but we are ready for this challenge again.”

Daniel Farke needs to find the right tactics this time around
Last time out, the Whites were completely outclassed in the first half, and could have been leading by multiple goals before the second half. Daniel Farke turned things around and made changes which impacted the game and nearly got a point. This time around, he needs to give the tactics spot on from the start. Farke nearly cost his side the game against Chelsea with his initial approach.
The last game against Aston Villa showed that the Leeds boss can get it right from the start. At Villa Park the team had a brilliant first 45 minutes and could have ended the game there. Farke will need everything to go right on Saturday night if they want a result.
